About the Project

Headline Result over 80% vertical travelling saved The Challenge the factory building is G+2 with two lifts for up and down movement. all materials after first two operations are sent upstairs and for powder coating brought back downstairs. it is affecting their productivity seriously. What We Did We first studied the process flow, took correct dimensions of all machinery and upcoming new machinery. plotted their current state layut, did spaghetti chart on it and showed them how much their every part is travelling. then we designed their future state map keeping all operations only on ground floor systimatically and stopped about 80% travel. The Outcome The design is submitted to the client and developement is under process. Key Insights Travelling muda highly effects the productivity and further if it between multi storied building the losses are comparitively high.
